Hi

For a while I struggled to auto update wordpress

I went to my host to manually do it but couldn't

I contacted my hosting company and after walking through it with them, it seems the designer who designed my website did not install wordpress into the hosting system. Instead he built the website exteally and simply installed the file.

The hosting company says if I attempt to install wordpress now, I will be starting from scratch and would need to build my website all over.

As if that is not enough, my website was .

Even though I log in as admin, on the dashboard, it no longer shows the message for me to update the website. Instead it says I should notify the admin to update it.

At the header of my website, it shows some error/code type message that it cannot send session cache limiter etc etc You can see it here http://www.segilolasalami.co.uk

I have already changed my admin log in password.

So I want to know:
What is the easiest way to update my website? It was auto updated to 4.4.3, can you not auto update it to the latest version?

How do I get my admin panel to recognise me as the admin again and kick out whoever has granted him/herself access?

How do I get rid of the error message at the top of each page?

The background image is meant to look like this http://www.segilolasalami.co.uk/all-event/ but for some reason on all the other pages, it has zoomed in, so it shows mainly the leaves. How do I get it to show the full image as background on all the pages?
