Harish Chouhan on "[Plugin: Download Monitor] Where is the file stored?"

Hi there,
I deleted your plugin to move it to another website,
and I was searching the media folder for the .zip file I had uploaded thru download monitor, but it doesn't seem to be there (which is good).

But just to double check with you, Is the download file deleted from the website together with the plugin?

Or is it still stored somewhere, if yes where, so I can delete it?

Hello Deon,

From download file I assume the files you upload on your server for each download? If yes, they are not deleted with our plugin. You can find them in the "wp-content/uploads/dlm_uploads" folder.

yes I meant those files I had uploaded for my users to download.

I found the folder via FTP and deleted them now, but why doesn't the folder go away with the plugin? I see it also contains an htaccess file? Is it safe to remove the whole dlm folder altogether?

Hello Deon,

The folder is not deleted as if a user decided to install the plugin again, we don't want them to go through the setup again. That said, if you no longer want to use the plugin on that site, you can delete the folder and all the files inside it.
