DJURMANN on "[Plugin: Contact Form 7] [your-email] tag not capturing submitted email address from form"

Hi,

The form I am using is not capturing the user's email address when it is entered on the form. It keeps retuing a blank field in the MAIL response that I receive. I have double checked my mail tags to be sure and it appears everything is correct between the form and the MAIL tab settings. I can capture everthing but an email address. Please help, and thank you.

If you can post screenshots of your from and mail configuration someone here can take a look and see if there are any errors.

Here are the config and mail images. I don't have any configuration errors that are indicated, and I have also tried putting a text field instead of email to capture something, and it wouldn't work. Just trying to get the [email-409] to capture something. Thanks for the help.

Your form looks fine. Is the issue with Message Body >> Email Address line? If so, try removing the chevrons around the mail-tag. I don't think they are necessary if you are just outputting the field in the message body:

<strong>Email Address</strong> [email-409]

Thank you @focalpointok I do not see that I have any placeholder text in my form. I looked at the link you posted but couldn't see how it helped...feeling stupid, sorry
