Hi Angelica, I was looking for this function too, without success.
If you want to see the numbers of subscribers, clic "Export Email" button at the bottom of your subscribers list.

Can you please tell us why you need this type of function?

It's nice to show off the number of subscribers you have. It can engage people to subscribe if they see a lot of other people already have.

Yes, can be very interesting if we can show the subscribers number with a shortcode. And sometimes we just want to know the number of people envolved with us.
