wp_remote_post() failed. PayPal IPN won't work with your server. Contact your hosting provider. Error: Unsupported SSL protocol version

I'm getting this error on my WooCommerce. My hosts have updated all their SSL stuff and yet the error still appears.

Is there any resolution to this error as the hosts can't do anything more as WC is a 3rd party plugin.

Please help?

It's still a hosting issue probably related to the version of openssl/TLS being severely out of date. Any application/plugin/platform using paypal will be affected.

I'll go back to my hosts and see what they have to say.

As already mentioned in our previous replies, we have installed the latest OpenSSL version supported by CentOS6 & cPanel.

If this still need to be updated, then the only solution left is to do a manual recompilation as mentioned in following URL.

However, this is bit risky and cPanel won't support such manual installation and this can even break the cPanel installed in your VPS.

Please forward these details to WooCommerce support and let us know if there is any alteative option from their end.

WC > System Status. Look at the version listed there. It might not necessarily match what is on the server itself.
