Hi, thank you for sharing the video clip. The Permanent Block List tab found under the Dashboard is for Spsm IP addresses.

When people leave Idea in your website and you mark any of these Idea as spam, you can then block these spam Idea IP address permanently. This is achieved by going to the following path Spam Prevention -> Comment SPAM IP Monitoring tab. Then you select and block permanently any IP address found under SPAMMER IP Address Results.

If you receive many Idea in your site and it becomes very challenging to check and read through all the Idea, you can use a plugin like Akismet or Antispam Bee to check for spam Idea. There are many anti spam plugins in the WordPress repository you can search for. The ones I mentioned above are the ones I currently use.

There is also another area in the plugin that also allows you to permanently blocks IP address.

– spammers who register for wordpress accounts and are manually blocked by the administrator – See the User Registration -> Manual Approval tab. If the manual approval checkbox is selected, this tab will list those users pending approval and you can block selected IP addresses permanently.
