Having read this thread completely, and having confirmed with GoDaddy that creating a .htaccess file in the /wp-admin/ is not allowed, I am simply interested in removing the alert:
"BPS Alert! An htaccess file was NOT found in your WordPress wp-admin folder
If you have deleted the wp-admin htaccess file for troubleshooting purposes you can disregard this Alert.
Go to the Security Modes page and click the wp-admin Folder BulletProof Mode Activate button."
Issue: this alert appears on all WP admin pages including the Dashboard. I have deactivated "wp-admin Folder BulletProof Mode" several times. I have confirmed via FTP and .htaccess Core that there is no .htaccess file in this directory.
I love BPS but I cannot have a permanent waing at the top of every page cluttering things up.
Am I missing something? How do I remove this?
