I've read your post and haven't got your issue. Are you having some trouble to test with test users? If so, you're in the right place. You can create a test users following this page: https://www.mercadopago.com.ve/developers/es/solutions/payments/basic-checkout/test/test-users/
Also, I must wa you that Mercado Pago sandbox API is somewhat instable for now.

You can test using the Sandbox mode. Just change it in the plugin settings.
