How do we transfer a domain name after we sell it?

Can anyone give me a brief explanation on how one can transfer domain names after we sell it to someone else. I am sure we just don't give the useame and Password to the buyer. Then how does the process go? I would appreciate if there is a video on Youtube. Thanks.
