Why the drop in Google rankings?

Hi all


I have a question and was helping you'd all be able to help with,


We are using wordpress


We had a ecommerce store which was on page 3 on Google,

we deleted a lot of product pages in one go and also added a fake review app,

with in a day of doing those things we dropped from page 3 to page 8 on Google literally oveight,

does anyone know if doing either of those two things could cause such a dramatic drop in Google pages?
