I have tried almost everything in my knowledge to disable the count function in the dropbox, but i just cant seem to remove it

Example:

Productgroup A (4)

i want to remove the (4) so it only says : Productgroup A

Just uncheck the "Show product counts" checkbox in the widget.

You can see that in the plugin's demonstration video around the 2:10 mark.

Yeah i've tried that but it's still showing.
