I'm restricting relatedness to categories. The plugin appears not to understand the idea that one would not wish the post one's viewing to show up as a related post as well. Short of trying to build a post-specific exclusion on every post, how do I avoid this?
I'm developing this site under localhost, so I can't include links. Let me give a further example of my problem.
Suppose that Post A is about Domestic Mediumhaired Cats and is filed under the category "Cats." Further suppose that I have the plugin set up to show a sidebar display of related posts from that same category. At present, the related post listing would include Siamese, Angora, Maine Coon, Coish Rex — and Domestic Mediumhair. IOW, the post one is viewing shows that same post as a related item in the sidebar.
That's redundant and looks really weird. How do I avoid it? Must I construct a post-specific exclusion for each post?
