ionproducts on "Thumbnails of Vimeo videos embedded on WP website look weird on mobile phones"

Hello, we've embedded some of our Vimeo videos on a page of our new WordPress website. When opening this page on our mobile phones though, the video thumbnails looks half black (on the left) with a big "play" button in it, while the actual image/ thumbnail is all shifted on the half right... (we can provide screenshots if needed). We've asked Vimeo but they said it's nothing to do with them, they reckon is something to do with the theme. Any ideas? Thanks

Vimeo (and YouTube etc.) embeds generally aren't responsive, so don't scale the way you'd expect.

A popular solution is the FitVids script (http://fitvidsjs.com). This plugin adds it to WordPress:

I believe Jetpack also offers a responsive video module of some kind these days.

Hi there, thanks for the suggestions. We don't get it though: we have another website where we have emebedded Vimeo videos too and they look fine on that (on our mobiles)...

If you can post a link someone can check, but if it's running a different theme it might already include that script, or similar.
