Inteet forums are dead now, aint it?

I remember 6-7 years back, forums used to be a big thing and we used to do a lot of stuff on forums. From business to information to chat, etc.. but I don't see this anymore.. Its like forums have gone down the hill.
What are your views on that? WordPress ...
