For example, if I named the clone 'dev', WP Staging is not prepending to the clone site name 'dev', so that it is easily clear that I'm in the dev site.

I have to go in and manually change site name to 'DEV - original site name'.

The admin bar gets colored orange when you are on the staging site. If that does not happen you have to take care that the staging process was successful at the end.

Thanks Rene, the staging process is saying that it was successful at the end, however, the admin bar is not coloured orange.

After completing the staging process it says:

To assist you we changed the name of the dashboard link to "Staging - Website Name".
You will notice this new name in the admin bar:

Also, this time, the folder created is a series of numbers not "staging".
