The host has looked into the issue and came back with:
I've taken a look in the server logs and it seems that the problem is the forms you are using are not specifying a from address properly for the email and so outbound spam filtering is rejecting it. Here is an example error from the log:

May 4 16:51:42 LDeX1-Plesk1 postfix/smtp[188534]: 9F9F2148035D: to=<[email protected]>, relay=filter.freethought-inteet.co.uk[194.110.243.232]:587, delay=0.13, delays=0.01/0.01/0.05/0.06, dsn=5.0.0, status=bounced (host filter.freethought-inteet.co.uk[194.110.243.232] said: 550-Verification failed for <[email protected]> 550-Called: 2a00:b980:3::34 550-Sent: RCPT TO:<[email protected]> 550-Response: 550 5.1.1 <[email protected]>: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in virtual alias table 550 Invalid sender <[email protected]> (in reply to MAIL FROM command))
