hi,

i have installed your free version of your plugin and so far so good.

the only thing i cannot do,which seems to be a premium option only , is to insert a shrtcode in to one of my pages.

alteatively i have pasted event specific auctions,but the layout seems to be in only 1 column on the left hand side.

is there any chance i can place html code to ensure that i have 3 columns per line?

You're spot on -- shortcodes are a premium feature in Events Calendar PRO:

You're certainly able to customize any of the calendar's layouts and I'd suggest heading over to our Themer's Guide for more info on how to do that with template overrides:

In short, you are able to take any of the calendar's view files and override them in your theme with your own markup.
